I would like to thank fellow students of the Write To Publish course who have helped me in various ways to make headway in my writing goals. This I hope to do by introducing them and their writings to readers of this blog. If any of you readers are keen to know more about them, just click on their images.
Darci Ward writes stories. If you are a fan of the 'thriller' genre then you should read her.
"I found her story 'Escape' to be a gut-wrenching tale that kept me engrossed even though at first I was reluctant to know what harrowing experiences Sally would have to go through! The mix of mystery, terror, and physical and psychological pain was overpowering for me!"
Amalia J Agreste is an animal lover, an accountant and a story teller, who loves fantasy and the supernatural.
"I found her story 'Dumb Dog' really enjoyable, especially the cat Zoe's sarcastic banter with the dog Rex. It was really funny. The story was engaging and made me want to keep on reading!"
Timothy J Verret is an actor, director, writer of plays and sonnets and stories, and a painter. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor, Male, for the stage role of Iago in Othello by Shakespeare. He is an animal lover and author too.
"I loved his story for children 'Clarabelle Comes Clean' which has a nice moral against bullying with very relatable characters. The illustrations were superb! A splendid children's book which deserves a place on every school library shelf."
Marcia A Oster is a prolific writer who has written over twenty romance and adventure novels.
"Though I am not a fan of romance novels, her story 'Man on the Bus' was interesting as it moved along at a good pace with many intriguing characters like Henri's parents who spoke French, in keeping with their home being in that part of Canada. It added color and credibility to the setting of the story. Overall, a well-written story that would appeal to all those romance lovers who also enjoy family stories."
Louisa Jane Clark is a writer of truly historical fiction!
"Her story 'Whisky & Water' gives the reader a realistic sense of the historical settings, with credible characters and interesting action.
The writer was able to convey the connections between the protagonist, his family members and the other characters succinctly within the dialogue itself. Even the depiction of the settings was done without the use of lengthy descriptions. I liked the writing style so much that I would have enjoyed it even if it was a long novel instead of a short story."
I would like to apologize to my readers that I had to delay the promised "The Joycentrix View of the World". It will definitely be the next post on this blog. Catch you soon!
